Safety in the Classroom


Theatre teachers must develop student attitudes that support safe practices in the classroom. Teachers model and discuss safety procedures and regulations and consistently enforce safe practices within the framework of school and district policies. Theatre safety considerations extend to crews, casts, and audience members.

The following recommendations for teachers suggest ways to keep a theatre environment free of accidents and injuries:
