Summit XII Grant Information

The Center for Educator Development in Fine Arts is pleased to announce that we have a partner in offering a matching grant to help Texas teachers in Art, Dance, Music and Theatre attend Summit XII. Advanced Financial Strategies has agreed to fund an exciting new grant program.

Advanced Financial Strategies wants to help your school district continue to be able to send teachers, administrators and supervisors to the Texas Fine Arts Summit. Advanced Financial Strategies will support a matching grant for school districts to apply with CEDFA for Summit XII registration. The grant will provide matching funds to help cover registration costs. This grant program will not cover hotel or travel expenses.

The Advanced Financial Strategies Matching Grant will be made up of several components and requirements. Once the grant application has been made, the District will appoint a Grant supervisor to work with the Advanced Financial Strategies Staff to coordinate onsite visits to all campuses at said school district. An additional requirement is to set up a 457 deferred compensation plan. The cost to establish the plan is zero, as is the cost to administrate and upkeep. If a 457 plan is already in place at that ISD, Advanced Financial Strategies will be added as an agent to the existing plan.

Once the onsite visits are scheduled, Advanced Financial Strategies will release the application for funding appropriations while grants remain available.

6. Name of the Person Coordinating this grant for the district
7. Grant Coordinator’s email address
8. The name of each school included in this application
9. The number of teachers attending from each campus
10. The educational level ( elementary, middle, secondary, or administration ) of the teachers from each campus
11. Then for each campus:
    • Name of a contact person for the campus
    • The contact’s email address
    • The contact’s phone
    • A date convenient to the campus to have all teachers meet with Advanced Financial Strategies
    • The time of that meeting so Advanced Financial Strategies can schedule the campus meeting
